Position: Positive, Upbeat FT Nanny for Newborn in Pac Heights

Description

A very sweet family in Pac Heights is seeking a loving full-time nanny to care for their newborn daughter (currently 2-months-old) as well as provide light support for their 7-year-old son who is in school. Responsibilities include engaging with baby and working on developmental milestones, child laundry, preparing bottles, meal prep and light cooking for the children, tidying and organization, and occasional errands.

Their ideal candidate is positive and upbeat, genuinely loves working with children and feels childcare is their calling. They prefer someone with a reliable vehicle for for driving to child-friendly activities (they have parking available onsite and will reimburse for mileage), as well as willingness to be flexible with the schedule (such as occasionally staying later if the parents are stuck in traffic, etc.). It’s also important that this person is already familiar with San Francisco, ideally having previously nannied in the city.

SCHEDULE:
The family can provide 10-hour days 4-5 days per week Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. with 40-50 hours guaranteed. If working 4 days, they must be consecutive (i.e. Mon-Thurs). Mom is currently on maternity leave so they are flexible to do 8-hour days, but will need 10-hour days when she goes back to work in late January / early February next year.

Experience Requirements

• 3 years minimum experience working as a private nanny with excellent verifiable references
• Newborn experience

Educational Requirements

• Fluency in English

Qualifications

• COVID-vaccinated and ideally has been boosted
• TB and Tdap vaccine
• CPR Certified
• Valid driver with clean record with reliable vehicle for work-related driving; family has parking available onsite and will reimburse for mileage
• Career nanny – childcare is your calling!
• Positive, upbeat attitude
• Must be already familiar with San Francisco; ideally previous experience nannying in SF
• Excellent communication

Responsibilities

• Engaging with baby
• Planning age-appropriate activities and outings
• Afternoon pick-up and activities for the eldest come spring next year
• Child laundry
• Light tidying (nursery, play areas, common areas, kitchen after child’s meals)
• Prepare, wash, sanitize bottles
• Prepare simple meals for the kids
• Light errands / tasks (such as putting groceries away)
• Occasionally stay later as needed
