Schedule: Monday to Friday 8 AM – 4:30 PM
Salary Amount or Range: $35-$38/hour D.O.E. + standard benefits (paid vacation, sick days, holidays)
Children: 4-month-old baby
Pets: Gentle, calm senior Yorkie 6 lbs

Description

A family in Ingelside is seeking a loving, experienced nanny to care for their 4-month-old baby. Daily responsibilities include engaging with baby and working on developmental milestones, child laundry, preparing bottles and child-friendly meals, as well as light tidying. The best person for them is knowledgeable in child development, engaging, and enjoys participating in play and activities.This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a long-term commitment as they will need childcare for the next few years.

Experience Requirements

• 2 years minimum experience working as a private nanny with excellent verifiable references

Educational Requirements

• Fluency in English

Qualifications

• Current on TB, Tdap and Flu
• CPR Certified
• Valid driver with clean record (family can provide a household car for work-related driving)
• Trustworthy
• Experienced with infants/toddlers
• Can make suggestions regarding baby’s development while remaining open to parent preferences
• Calm, engaging
• Comfortable walking up/down stairs and able to carry heavy baby
• Can make a long-term commitment (at least a year, ideally longer)

Responsibilities

• Planning engaging, age-appropriate activities
• Planning daily outings to local park, library, story time, etc.
• Keep child on schedule
• All child-related tasks (feeding, changing, etc.)
• Preparing, washing, sanitizing bottles
• Helping with developmental transitions (sleep schedule, solids, potty training, etc.)
• Prepare baby’s solids and meals once age-appropriate
• Light tidying (nursery, common and play areas, kitchen, etc.)
• Child laundry
