Description

A well-organized residence in Hillsborough is seeking a polished, proactive, and detail-oriented full-time Housekeeper to maintain the condition and overall presentation of this high-standard home. This year-round, live-out role involves close coordination with a dedicated staff to uphold seamless daily operations and elevated cleanliness standards. The ideal candidate will be proactive, take initiative, and bring a high level of care and consistency to their work. This is a child-friendly home, so comfort working around school-aged children and their caretakers is a must. A strong sense of organization, reliability, and discretion is essential as well as the ability to take direction. A positive, can-do attitude is vital in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform all aspects of general daily housekeeping, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, and cleaning surfaces to a high standard.
• Ensure all bathrooms and kitchens are meticulously cleaned, sanitized, and

• Manage household laundry, including washing, drying, ironing as requested, folding, and putting away clothes and linens.
• Execute deep cleaning tasks on a regular schedule (e.g., cleaning baseboards, windows, inside cabinets, drawers, specialized surfaces, cobweb control).
• Maintain organization in all areas of the home, including tidying, organizing closets, pantries, and common areas.
• Care for delicate surfaces, fine furnishings, artwork, and unique household items according to specific instructions.
• Manage and inventory cleaning supplies, communicating needs for replenishment
• Assist with special projects, seasonal cleaning, or event preparation as needed, and per direction from the Estate Manager and Principals.
• Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with other household staff (e.g., Nannies, Estate Manager) to ensure a cohesive environment.
• Proactively identify areas needing attention and take initiative to address them without direct supervision.
• Assist with simple dinner preparation as directed by the Estate Manager and in cooperation with staff.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience as a Housekeeper in a high-end private
• Demonstrated ability to maintain exceptional cleanliness and organization
• Proactive work ethic with a strong sense of initiative and problem-solving
• Exceptional attention to detail and thoroughness in all
• Highly organized, reliable, punctual, and trustworthy with a strong sense of discretion and confidentiality.
• Comfortable working in a child-friendly environment and interacting respectfully with school-aged children and their caretakers.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques for various surfaces and materials (e.g., wood, marble, delicate fabrics).
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving

Compensation & Benefits:

$50-$60/hr

• Paid Major Holidays – depending on calendar year
• Paid Time Off – 5 days of your choice plus an additional 15 days during the summer while family is away. 20 days total
• Sick Days – 6 days
• Medical Stipend $500/mo
