Position: Highly Experienced FT Nanny Focused on Development for Newborn in the Mission
Schedule: Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Salary Amount or Range: $45-$55/hour D.O.E. + Standard benefits (paid vacation, sick days, holidays)
Children: 2-month-old girl

Description

A family in the Mission is seeking attentive, loving care for their 2-month-old daughter. This person will be focused on child development and planning activities based on baby’s milestones and interests; following baby’s lead and nurturing their curiosities. Someone who is passionate about childcare with a strong interest or background in NCS, ECE, or Montessori training will be the best fit. Responsibilities include all child-related care (laundry, tidying, establishing a routine, and helping with developmental transitions). Ideally this person is looking for longevity and can adapt and grow with the family (possibly a second newborn or transitioning to family assistance).

Experience Requirements

  • 2 years minimum experience working as a nanny with excellent verifiable references
  • NCS, ECE, or Montessori training/credentials (nice to have)

Educational Requirements

  • Fluency in English
  • Fluency in Hindi or Chinese (nice to have, not required)

Qualifications

  • COVID-vaccinated + boosted
  • MMR, Flu, TB and Tdap up to date
  • CPR Certified
  • Valid driver with clean record (family can provide household vehicle for work-related driving)
  • Highly experienced with newborns
  • Longevity in prior nanny roles (at least 3 years)
  • Creative and planning activities for child development following child’s lead/interests
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel (approximately 1-2 times per year for a week or so)
  • High EQ
  • Passionate about childcare and child development
  • Excellent communication
  • Proactive and easily anticipates needs of the family
  • Seeking a long-term commitment (at least 3 years ideally)

Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive, loving, safe care
  • Engage in play and activities focused on child’s interests
  • Support childhood development
  • Provide guidance while also following parent preferences
  • Preparing, washing, sanitizing bottles
  • Help with developmental transitions (solids, routine, potty training, etc.)
  • Child laundry
  • Light tidying (child’s bedroom, play areas, common spaces)
  • In 1+ year this role could include helping with second newborn and/or family assistance
