Position: Activity-Planner Extraordinaire Needed FT for 11-month-old in San Carlos (FT Nanny)
Schedule: Monday and Friday 8:30-5pm + Tuesday-Thursday 8-6pm (47.5 hours per week guaranteed)
Salary Amount or Range: $40-$43/hour D.O.E. + Standard benefits (paid vacation, sick days, holidays)
Children: 11-month-old baby boy
Pets: 2 x cats

A family relocating from NYC to San Carlos is seeking an active, experienced nanny for their happy and easygoing 11-month-old baby boy. Responsibilities include planning a variety of activities, documenting child’s developmental progress, preparing health kid-friendly meals and snacks, child laundry, and light tidying.

Their ideal candidate is knowledgeable in all the Bay has to offer and loves to plan engaging experiences such as visiting local parks and libraries, seeking out art or music classes, or planning outings to the zoo and museums. Someone who is communicative and thorough, who can guide parents on what to expect regarding milestones and development will be the best fit. Ultimately they are looking for a nanny who is warm, friendly, and looking for longevity and growth with the family.

Experience Requirements

• 2 years minimum experience working as a private nanny with excellent verifiable references

Educational Requirements

• Fluency in English

Qualifications

• COVID-vaccinated + ideally boosted and staying current on the booster (or willing to update)
• TB and Tdap
• CPR Certified
• Ok with cats in the home
• Valid driver with clean record and reliable vehicle for work-related driving (family will reimburse for mileage and gas and provide a car seat)
• Willingness to travel 1-2 times per year is a nice to have but not a hard requirement
• Engaged
• Enjoys planning a variety of activities for baby
• Communicative; provides detailed updates on a weekly basis regarding baby’s development, milestones, etc.
• Experienced and knowledgeable in child development and guides/coaches parents on what to expect, changes happening, etc.
• Friendly and warm disposition
• Proactive
• Seeking longevity and growth with the family

Responsibilities

• Plan engaging day for the child; establishing a good routine with activities (parks, libraries, classes, etc.) and changing up experiences regularly
• Record observations of baby throughout the day and provide updates to parents on a weekly basis summarizing baby’s progress and milestones; paying attention to changes and reporting what nanny is working on developmentally
• Preparing and washing bottles
• Preparing healthy kid-friendly meals and snacks
• Child laundry
• Light tidying (nursery, play areas, common spaces)
