Position: Career Newborn Nanny Needed for First time Parents in San Francisco
Schedule: 7am to 3pm Monday to Friday for 2026 (guarenteed 40 hours) , anticipated schedule in 2027 to update to Monday- Thursday 7am-6pm + Friday 8am-4pm with possibility occasional weekend assistance
Salary Amount or Range: $45-50/hour D.O.E+ standard benefits( Paid vacation, sick days, holidays)

We are seeking a highly experienced nanny to support first time parents in San Francisco who have a preemie newborn coming home from hospital in early July. The parents are looking for someone who brings confidence, calm, and deep newborn experience. The ideal candidate will partner with the parents through the newborn stage, help establish healthy routines, and support their baby’s early development with a thoughtful, nurturing approach. They are especially interested in a caregiver who understands newborn development and milestones and can gently support sensory development. The parents are looking for a long-term relationship and trust with their nanny that will grow from newborn to early childhood..

Both parents have busy careers and need reliable weekday coverage and a nanny who is able to navigate a calm household with a parent working from home.

Responsibilities will include comprehensive newborn care, feeding support, diapering, bathing, nail trimming, soothing, early developmental support, baby laundry, cleaning and sterilizing baby items and nursery organization.

We are looking for a nanny who can work as a true partner in the home, offering both practical support and thoughtful guidance. We would love to connect with a caregiver who understands the importance of supporting both baby and parents during the newborn stage and eventually early childcare and enjoy the day to day of changing milestones.

Experience Requirements

5 years minimum experience working as a nanny with excellent verifiable references

Newborn Care Specialist experience: Early Childcare Education (Nice to have)

Qualifications

Covid-Vaccinated and Boosted

MMR, Flu, TB and TDAP up to date

CPR Certified

Valid Driver with clean record

Highly experienced with Newborns and previous preemie experience

Excellent communication

Responsibilities

Newborn Care: Feeding support, diapering, bathing, dressing, nail trimming, soothing, establishing routines, and helping with sleep and feeding patterns as appropriate.

Light housekeeping related to baby: Baby-related laundry, bottle and feeding-item cleaning and sterilizing, tidying nursery and baby areas, and maintaining an organized environment for the baby.

Partner with guidelines of Night Newborn Care Specialist to help establish daytime routines
