We are representing a couple with grown children living on four beautiful acres in Woodside. They are seeking a dedicated and trustworthy House Manager to oversee the daily operations of their home and farm. Their property includes landscaped grounds, a vegetable garden, native plants and beloved animals and livestock. They are looking for someone who will not only care for the household with attention to detail but also share in the stewardship of their land and animals with respect and reliability. This role requires integrity, organization, and a genuine love for both animals and nature.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a quiet, private household environment where discretion is valued. You will coordinate errands, manage day-to-day upkeep of the home in between deep cleaners and assist with meal prep. As part of their household, you will also help care for their animals, ensuring they are fed and cared for if principals are not available. Other staff include weekly deep cleaners, a barn keeper, and gardeners, so your role will be focused on organization, management and making sure daily life runs smoothly.

Responsibilities

This is a hands-on role where your reliability and initiative will help maintain a calm and well-managed household. You should be comfortable balancing household needs with animal care and errands while respecting the privacy of the family.

• Run errands including grocery shopping, pet food pickup, and package returns.

• Manage daily upkeep of the house, including tidying and light housekeeping.

• Feed and care for animals, including three dwarf goats, two Australian Shepherds, two cats, and chickens.

• Support with animal-related tasks such as changing litter boxes when needed

• Prepare or assist with meal prep, including chopping vegetables or gathering items from the garden.

• Coordinate with other household staff such as cleaners, barn keeper, and gardeners.

Skills

We are seeking someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and able to keep the household organized. Strong communication and honesty are essential, as well as a willingness to be hands-on with both home and animals.

• Prior experience in house management or household support.

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and handle physically active tasks.

• Comfort with animals including goats, chickens, cats, and dogs.

• Attention to detail and a high standard of cleanliness.

• Honesty, integrity, and respect for household privacy.

Good English communication skills

Qualifications:
Covid vaccination and annual flu vaccination
Bilingual in English and Spanish
Comfortable in area with wildlife: coyote, occasional bobcat, deer, wild turkeys
