Compensation: $75.00 – $85.00 per hour + Gas Reimbursement
Schedule: ~15 Hours Per Week (Primary: Tue/Thu mid-afternoon + occasional weekends for kid’s birthday parties/events)
Our new clients are looking for a proactive, detail-obsessed Personal Assistant to manage their primary residence and guest house in San Mateo. Your duties are ensuring the home is organized, the pantry is stocked, and all maintenance is handled before it becomes an issue. This role requires someone who can move seamlessly between digital scheduling and hands-on household tasks.
Experience Requirements
2 or more years of experience working as a Personal assistant/house manager with great references

Qualifications

Tech-Savvy: Expert in Google Suite and highly responsive via text/mobile.

Handy & Resourceful: Comfortable troubleshooting light household fixes (lightbulbs, shower heads, air filters) or hiring the right person to do it

Independent: You can walk into a room, see what needs to be done (like boxes that need breaking down), and handle it without being asked.

Environment: Comfortable in a home with two children (ages 5 and 7)
Responsibilities
1. High Touch Communication

Daily Briefing: Text/call the Principal every morning with a summary of the day’s meetings. Note: If no reply is received, a follow-up is required. Send a final “heads-up” text immediately before each meeting.

Google Suite: Manage household calendars and vendor appointments via Google Docs/Sheets.
2. Household Maintenance

Oversee the cleaning of specialized sofa and bench cushions; fix/replace the double shower head in the master bath; replace magnet boards/stickers on the kitchen peninsula.

Regularly replace air filters and ensure light bulb colors/temperatures are consistent throughout the house (specifically the guest house).

Order office furniture (mirrors), manage the acquisition of a new storage shed, and oversee the “Guest House Remodel” prep (organizing items in storage until installation).
3. Organization & Curation

Completely overhaul the pantry—purge unwanted items and restock it to look like a high-end boutique grocery store, carrying only the family’s favorites.

Deep-organize the main fridge, drink fridge, and wine storage.

Routinely wipe down outdoor furniture to keep it guest-ready.
4. Daily Operations

Manage the dishwasher and light kitchen cleaning on Tuesdays and Thursdays

Regularly break down Amazon/shipping boxes in the office and move them to recycling.

Ensure the guest house is fully prepped for visitors and the main house remains neat and tidy
