Description

This family of four is looking for a family assistant who is smart, calm, happy (but not loud) and caring. Someone who will really bond with their boys (ages 7 and 10) and who wants to feel like they are truly part of the family. Also, someone who is not addicted to their phone as it sends a bad signal to the kids. In an ideal world, they are also looking for someone who naturally eats healthy and exercises and will role model this lifestyle to their children.

Below is just an example of what a typical Monday looks like in the house (it is a grocery shopping day, which is not every day):

Below is just an example of what a typical Monday looks like in the house (it is a grocery shopping day, which is not every day):

1 p.m. Look through fridge and see what foods the family needs to get for the week (they will have a list that all of them contribute to). Go to the store, buy groceries and put them in the fridge at home. Put any additional dishes in the dishwasher and start it, wipe down the counters and the kitchen table and chairs. If there is food on the floor where the kids ate, use the mini vacuum to quickly clean it up, tidy up the living area (blankets on couch folded etc) and take out trash if needed. If the boys made a mess in the bathroom, please wipe toilet seat with the sanitizing wipes. Go upstairs and make the boys beds and tidy room as needed. Unload dishwasher.

2.30 PM to 7 PM: Use the household car to pick up the boys. Pick up boys from school at 3 pm and either take them home for homework or to activities (tutoring, soccer, baseball, etc). If the kids go in different directions for activities, the family assistant will pick up one boy and mom will pick up the other (double check with each other about this each morning before the kids go to school). After activities, bring boys home for dinner around 5:30 (dinner is prepared by the family’s chef). After dinner, supervise the kids while they put away their dishes and finish any additional homework. We start the dishwasher at this time. Next, supervise kids as they get ready for bed: bath, change into PJs, and brush teeth. If there is free time after homework, the family assistant can play with the kids or suggest activities for them to do (art, reading etc). They prefer to limit TV and screen time, so it is better to have a sport or art to do. Help unload the dishwasher as needed (they have a cleaner who comes in M-W from 6-9pm, so Thursdays there will be more clean up). On Fridays the family goes out to dinner around 6pm, so the nanny can leave early on Fridays. The Friday afternoon schedule can be 2:30pm-4pm if the FA would like.
