Position: Dependable, Proactive Family Assistant Needed in Noe Valley (30 hours/week)
Schedule: Monday to Friday 1-6 p.m. + one weekeday evening (usually Thursday) until 10 p.m. (30 hours per week guaranteed)
Salary Amount or Range: $40-$45/hour D.O.E. + Standard benefits (paid vacation, sick days, holidays)
Children: 4 and 8 years old
Pets: 1 x poddle mix

Description

START: early/mid August

A family in Noe Valley is seeking a dependable, proactive Family Assistant to keep the household running smoothly and manage childcare for their two children (4 and 8 years old). Responsibilities include picking up the children from school, driving to activities, running errands, laundry and simple cooking for the family, organizing and light tidying, walking the dog, and coordinating vendors as needed. Once a week (usually Thursdays) the FA will stay until 10 p.m. for date night.

The best person for them is friendly, takes initiative, and is great with kids!

Experience Requirements

• 2 years minimum experience working as a private Family Assistant with excellent verifiable references

Educational Requirements

• Fluency in English

Qualifications

• TB and Tdap vaccinated
• CPR Certified
• Valid driver with clean record (family provides household vehicle for work-related driving; there is ample street parking available for candidates commuting by car)
• Dependable; punctual
• Excellent communication
• Takes initiative in helping to run the home – notices what needs to be done and is proactive
• Organized
• Great with kids
• Can make at least a year commitment, ideally longer

Responsibilities

• Pickups/drop-offs and driving to activities
• Errands
• Family laundry
• Meal prep and simple cooking / preparing Good Eggs meal kits
• Light tidying
• Organizing
• Walking the dog
• Coordinating vendors as needed
