Start: March 16th at earliest

A family in Glen Park is seeking an educational, child-led nanny to care for their 5-month-old baby boy. Responsibilities include planning age-appropriate activities, actively engaging with baby, preparing bottles and baby-friendly meals, family laundry, and light tidying. Their idealy candidate prioritizes good hygiene and has background/training in early childhood education, ideally with a RIE or Montessori focus. Someone who will help their child explore the world on his terms, who nurtures his curiosity and interests will be the best fit! This is a great opportunity for someone looking for longevity as they will need care for the next 3-4 years.

Flexibility and willingness to travel is needed; typically a few days here and there in Healdsburg as well as up to two weeks each year for an international trip.

SCHEDULE OPTIONS (family open to discussing):

• Sunday to Thursday approximately 9/10 AM – 5/6 PM
• Monday to Friday approximately 9/10 AM – 5/6 PM
• 4 workdays (TBD which days of the week) approximately 9 hours each day

Experience Requirements

• 2 years minimum experience working as a private nanny with excellent verifiable references

Educational Requirements

• Fluency in English
• Background in ECE with focus on Montessori or RIE

Qualifications

• COVID-vaccinated + current on booster or willing to update
• TB, Tdap and flu current
• CPR Certified
• Valid driver with clean record
• Flexibility and willingness to travel occasionally to Healdsburg, and up to two weeks internationally each year
• Practices good hygiene
• Background/training in early childhood education, ideally with a RIE or Montessori focus
• Resonates with child-led philosophies

Responsibilities

• Following child’s lead and planning educational activities
• Working toward developmental milestones
• Assisting with developmental transitions (solids, naps, potty training, etc.)
• Preparing child’s bottles, meals, and snacks
• Family laundry
• Light tidying including nursery, play areas, and common spaces such as the kitchen/living room (family has a weekly housecleaner)
