Schedule: Monday to Friday 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. (25 hours per week guaranteed)
Salary Amount or Range: $35-$40/hour D.O.E. + standard benefits (paid vacation, sick days, holidays)

Two busy working parents in Menlo Park are seeking a loving, educational nanny for their two children, ages 4 (girl) and 6 (boy) years old. Both children are in school until 2:40 p.m. The nanny will be responsible for school pick-ups and driving the children to activities or planning engaging activities at home/outdoors. This person will prioritize the children’s development and plan activities based on early learning education. Additional duties include preparing meals and snacks for the children, children’s laundry, and light tidying/organization.
Their ideal candidate has a degree in ECE, teaching background, and/or experience with the Montessori or Reggio Emilia approaches to child-rearing. Ultimately someone affectionate and patient, who genuinely enjoys working with young children will be the best fit. They are looking for help for the next few years, so this is a great opportunity for someone looking for longevity!
Experience Requirements
- 2 years minimum experience working as a private nanny with excellent verifiable references
Educational Requirements
- Fluency in English
- ECE degree and/or experience with Montessori or Reggio Emilia method(s)
- Fluency in Spanish (nice-to-have)
Qualifications
- COVID-vaccinated + booster (preferably up to date on booster)
- TB and Tdap vaccine
- CPR
- Valid driver with clean record (the family prefers to reimburse for mileage, but is open to discussing the use of their household vehicle)
- Highly prefer Childhood Education degree and/or experience with Montessori or Reggio Emilia method
- Experienced with positive discipline and child-led play
- Forms genuine connections with children
- Kind and affectionate

- Excellent communication
- Can make a long term commitment (ideally a few years)
Responsibilities
- School pick-up
