Position: Educational Weekend Nanny for Infant in Presidio Heights
Schedule: Saturday and Sunday from 7:45am to 5:45pm (20 hours/week guaranteed)
Salary Amount or Range: $45-$55/hour D.O.E. and Credentials + Standard benefits (paid vacation, sick days, holidays)

Description
A family in Presidio Heights is seeking an experienced weekend nanny for their 5-month-old baby boy. They are looking for someone highly knowledgeable in developmental milestones and early education. Responsibilities include planning age-appropriate activities, engaging in play, preparing bottles and baby-friendly solids, child laundry, and light tidying.
They’re looking for someone experienced and confident, but also highly collaborative and adaptable. The parents are fairly hands-on and have preferences around feeding and nap schedules, so it’s important that the nanny is comfortable following their direction and communicating closely rather than needing complete autonomy in those areas. Grandparents are also involved with the baby and occasionally provide childcare, so they’d like to find someone comfortable interfacing with them too from time to time.
Above all they are looking for someone with extensive infant experience who is professional, warm, a team-player, and confident. The best person for them is looking for longevity and will grow and adapt with the family.
Experience Requirements
- 3 years minimum experience working as a private nanny with excellent verifiable references
Educational Requirements
- Fluency in English
- Certification in Early Childhood Education and/or as a postpartum doula, and/or experience teaching in a preschool
- Fluency in Chinese (nice to have, not required)
Qualifications
- TB and Tdap vaccinated
- CPR Certified
- Valid driver with clean record (family can provide household vehicle for work-related driving)
- Ideally has flexibility to travel
- High level of knowledge about developmental milestones
- Extensive newborn/infant experience
- Can provide guidance and recommendations while also following parent preferences
- Confident; takes initiative

Responsibilities
- Providing attentive and developmentally appropriate care
- Actively engaging in play and planning activities geared towards baby’s development and milestones
- Provide guidance and recommendations to parents
- Prepare, wash, sanitize bottles
- Manage transitions such as solids, daily routine, potty training, etc.
- Organizing and taking inventory of child’s clothing, toys, and supplies
- Child laundry
- Light tidying (maintaining nursery, play and common areas)
