Position: Energetic & Active FT Nanny for 4 and 7 year old in Cow Hollow
Schedule: Monday to Friday 7 a.m. to 5 or 6 p.m. (some flexibility needed)
Salary Amount or Range: $37-$42/hour D.O.E. + Standard benefits (paid vacation, sick days, holidays)

Description

A family in Cow Hollow is seeking an active, engaging full-time nanny for their two children ages 4 (boy) and 7 (girl) years old. Their son is in school until 1:30p and their daughter gets out around 3:30p. Duties include driving the children to/from school, planning activities, and engaging in physical outdoor play. During the time the children are in school the nanny will be responsible for children’s laundry, light cleaning, and organizing.

Candidates must be fluent in Spanish (first language) and English, and flexibility to travel throughout the year. The family stays in Sonoma during the summer, takes 2-week trips to Costa Rica and Nantucket, and travels during spring break and ski week. They also take weekend trips here and there and need someone who can travel with last minute notice (longer trips are planned in advance).

The best person for them enjoys being active in their free time (hiking, biking, etc.), is warm, energetic, and loves dogs (they have a Labradoodle). Ability to make a long term commitment is important to them as they are looking for someone to be with them for several years.

Experience Requirements

• 2 years’ minimum experience working as a private nanny with excellent verifiable references

Educational Requirements

• Fluency in English required
• Fluency in Spanish required (first language)

Qualifications

• CPR Certified
• TB and Tdap vaccine
• COVID (booster not required)
• Excellent driver with clean record and prior experience driving children (family can provide household car for work-related driving)
• Happy, positive disposition
• Excellent communicator, open to feedback
• Professional, clean, organized
• Takes pride in their work
• Active and energetic; can easily keep up with two young kids
• Physically able to walk up and down multiple flights of stairs
• Flexibility and willingness to travel with the family
• Loves dogs
• Can make a long term commitment, ideally a few years at minimum

Responsibilities

• Help mom with school drop-off and pick-up
• Driving to/from activities
• Engaging in fun outdoor play; planning activities
• Children’s laundry
• Keeping children’s bedroom and bathrooms tidy (no deep cleaning)
• Organizing play areas, toys, backpacks
• Keeping children’s items clean and neat (ironing school uniforms, for example)
• Prepare younger child’s lunch
• Reheating meals / preparing simple meals for the children if needed
