Description
A busy family in Cow Hollow is seeking an upbeat, playful nanny/family assistant for their three boys (ages 1, 3 and 5 years old). This person will team with the parents to divide and conquer childcare, so the nanny will rarely have all three children at one time. Responsibilities include engaging in play, taking the boys to activities, planning fun outings, laundry, light tidying, running errands, and simple meal prep. The best person for them is comfortable holding boundaries, can easily keep up with three high-energy boys, and is reliable, trustworthy and prioritizes the safety of their children.
The schedule is Monday to Friday 1 PM to 8 PM however the family can provide more/less hours (e.g. beginning at 12 PM or 2 PM) depending on candidate’s preference. The family is based in SF but has a second home in Healdsburg and would love if someone were willing to travel with them 1 week per year (usually during the summer).
Experience Requirements
- 2 years minimum experience working as a private nanny with excellent verifiable references
Educational Requirements
- Fluency in English
- Fluency in Spanish nice to have but not required
Qualifications
- COVID-vaccinated + boosted
- TB and Tdap
- CPR Certified
- Valid driver with clean record (family can provide household car for work-related driving)
- Flexibility to spend a week during the summer at the family’s second home in Healdsburg (nice to have but not required)
- Prioritizes children’s safety
- Responsible, trustworthy
- Upbeat and can easily keep up with 3 high-energy boys
- Outgoing, playful
- Loving, caring, engaging
- Excellent communication
- Comfortable holding boundaries; firm but kind approach
- Can make at least a year commitment, ideally longer for a great fit
Responsibilities
- Teaming with parents to divide and conquer childcare (nanny will rarely need to care for all 3 boys)
- Driving to/from school/summer camp and activities
- Planning fun, engaging activities
- Outings: parks, playgrounds, etc.
- Light tidying (picking up children’s bedrooms, common spaces and play areas; cleaning up after dinner; loading/unloading the dishwasher)
- Simple meal prep for the kids
- Children’s laundry
