A kind, loving family in Pac Heights is seeking an energetic and attentive nanny for their two easygoing and happy children children ages 2 years (girl) and 11 years old (boy). They are looking for an experienced and caring nanny to join their household. Dad works a demanding job and mom is a stay-at-home parent but involved in the community so they are looking for someone who is comfortable caring for their toddler during the day and tag-teaming with mom in the afternoons to care for both children. The nanny will usually have the younger child as their eldest is fairly self-sufficient, but may on occasion need to care for both kids.

Responsibilities include planning fun age-appropriate activities, managing school drop-off and pick-up, planning local outdoor excursions, helping maintain a clean and organized home, managing child laundry, and simple meal prep/cooking for the kids/family. Their ideal candidate is kind, energetic, organized, and values a tidy home, with flexibility to travel between their SF and Napa home.

TRAVEL: Occasional travel to their second home in Napa is required, mostly during the summer over 2-3 weeks, and occasionally during the winter.

Experience Requirements

• 2 years minimum experience working as a private nanny with excellent verifiable references

Educational Requirements

• Fluency in English

Qualifications

• COVID-vaccinated + has been boosted
• TB and Tdap vaccine
• CPR Certified
• Valid driver with clean record (family can provide household car for work related driving)
• Energetic and upbeat (bring your sneakers!)
• Connected with the SF community; familiar with the city and local parks
• Experienced with both toddlers and school-aged children
• Warm, positive, and attentive with excellent organizational skills
• Comfortable with occasional travel to Napa (2-3 weeks in the summer and during school breaks/holidays)

Responsibilities

• Provide loving, developmentally appropriate care for 2-year-old
• Mom is involved with the kids, so tag teaming with her to help with one or occasionally both children
• Manage driving for school and activities
• Home organization is very important; help around the house is always appreciated and everyone pitches in (taking out the trash, loading/unloading the dishwasher, tidying up, organizing, etc.)
• Light tidying
• Child laundry
• Simple meal prep/cooking for the kids/family
• Supervising swimming
• Pack children for travel
• Travel with family to Napa as needed
