Position: Energetic & Proactive PT Family Assistant for 3-Year-Old in Mill Valley – FILLED
Schedule: Monday to Friday Noon or 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. (25-30 hours per week guaranteed; some flexibility for additional hours if candidate can help in the mornings)
Salary Amount or Range: $40-$45/hour D.O.E. + Standard benefits (paid vacation, sick days, holidays)

Description
A family in Mill Valley is seeking a warm, energetic Family Assistant to help with childcare and household tasks. They have a 3-year-old girl who is in school until 3 p.m. Responsibilities include school pick-ups and planning after-school activities, running errands, general tidying and household organization, family laundry, and preparing simple meals for the family 3-4 times per week.
Their ideal candidate is affectionate, engaging, takes initiative around the home, and has a reliable vehicle for work-related errands (the family will reimburse for gas and provide a car seat). They have some flexibility in the schedule if the FA prefers to help in the mornings; they are open to discussing what works best for everyone. Ultimately the best person for them is experienced with preschoolers and can commit to their family for a few years!
Experience Requirements
- 2 years minimum experience working as a Nanny/Family Assistant with excellent verifiable references
Educational Requirements
- Fluency in English
- Fluency in Spanish (nice to have but not required)
Qualifications
- COVID vaccinated
- TB and Tdap vaccine
- CPR Certification
- Valid driver with clean record and reliable vehicle for work-related driving (family will reimburse for gas)
- Childcare experience
- Safe driver
- Warm, positive
- Energetic
- Excellent communication
- Can make a long-term commitment, ideally a few years
