Description
Start: part-time for now; full-time beginning in January
A family in the Castro district is seeking a reliable, engaging nanny for their baby (currently 2 months old). Responsibilities include planning age-appropriate activities, taking baby to nearby parks and playgrounds, keeping a consistent schedule, baby laundry, preparing bottles and healthy kid-friendly meals, and light tidying.
Their ideal candidate is fluent in Russian (strongly preferred but not required), willing to travel internationally and domestic (trips are typically 1-2 weeks or a few weeks at a time), and is flexible to work later evenings as needed. Ultimately the best person for them genuinely loves being a nanny and is an active participant in baby’s learning; someone who will get down and baby’s level and encourage their curiosities.
The schedule is 42 hours per week:
- Monday 9a-3:30p (can be flexible)
- Tuesday 9a-3:30p (can be flexible)
- Wednesday 7:30a-5:30p
- Thursday 8a-5p
- Friday 7:30a-5:30p
Experience Requirements
- 2 years minimum experience working as a private nanny with excellent verifiable references
Educational Requirements
- Fluency in English
- Strong preference for fluency in Russian
Qualifications
- COVID-vaccinated + current on the booster/willing to update
- TB and Tdap vaccine
- CPR Certified
- Valid driver with clean record
- Must be cat-friendly
- Flexible schedule
- Willingness to travel internationally and domestic (trips are typically 1-2 weeks or a few weeks at a time)

Responsibilities
- Caring for baby; fully engaged in play and activities
- All child-related tasks (feeding, changing, etc.)
- Preparing, washing, sanitizing bottles
- Helping with developmental transitions (sleep schedule, solids, potty training, etc.)
- Prepare baby’s solids, meals, snacks once age-appropriate
- Light tidying (nursery, common and play areas, kitchen, etc.)
