Position: Experienced Nanny for Family in Redwood City (9-month contract) FILLED
Schedule: 7:30AM start 4:30 PM 5 days per week (45 hours/week)
Salary Amount or Range: $35-$38/hour D.O.E. (standard benefits: paid vacation, sick days, holidays)
Children: Infant will be 4 months old in September when position starts
Pets: 1 dog (hypo-allergenic Bichon-Shitzu mix)

A family in Redwood City is seeking a loving, dedicated nanny to care for their infant son who will be 4 months old in September. This is a 9-month contract (September 2023 – May 2024). Responsibilities include helping their baby to meet milestones, children’s laundry, light tidying, and preparing/washing bottles, and aiding with developmental transitions (naps, solids, etc.).

The family also has a 3-year-old in school. On rare occasions the nanny will help with pick up/drop off/supervision of their toddler as well. His school is a 2 minute drive/20 minute walk from their home. This would only be if he were sick or there were exceptional needs from the parents’ work schedules.

Experience Requirements

• 2 years minimum experience working as a nanny with excellent verifiable references

Educational Requirements

• Fluency in English
• Ideally fluent in Mandarin

Qualifications

• COVID-vaccinated + booster
• CPR Certified
• TB and Tdap vaccine
• Valid driver with clean record
• Has a reliable means of transportation to get themselves to work
• Experience caring for young children under 12 months old
• Knowledgeable in child development
• Excellent communication skills
• Ok with a small dog (hypo-allergenic Bichon-Shitzu mix)
• Ok with 9-month commitment

Responsibilities

• Engaging with baby (reading, singing, talking, etc.)
• Planning age-appropriate activities to help with development and meeting milestones
• Prepare bottles, solids
• Tidying pertaining to the children
• Children’s laundry
• On rare occasion, can help with pick up/drop off/supervision of their 3 year old as well

  b. This would only be if he were sick or there were exceptional needs from their work schedules
