Position: Experienced Newborn Nanny needed PT in Noe Valley
Schedule: Monday to Friday 1:30PM-5:30PM / 6PM
Salary Amount or Range: $35-$40/hour D.O.E. (standard benefits: paid vacation, sick days, holidays)

Start date: on March 11th (March 18th at the latest). Family is open to a shorter term commitment (2-3 months at minimum) or long-term (1 year) for a great fit!

A young family of four in Noe Valley is seeking a part-time (20 hours+) experienced nanny for their 1.5 month old daughter. Mom is a stay-at-home parent and is looking for help in maximizing her time with her newborn and 3-year-old daughter who goes to preschool. The right candidate will be loving towards the kids, is experienced with newborns, and anticipate the needs of the household. Part of the time the nanny will stand in for mom so she can shower, exercise, and eat. After school, the nanny will overlap with the older child, baby, and mom.

What will a typical day look like?
1:30PM–2:30PM: take care of baby or do baby / house tasks while mom is feeding baby
2:30PM–4:30PM: take care of baby while mom picks up older child
4:30PM–5:30PM / 6PM: assist mom with taking care of baby and toddler and set up for dinner

Experience Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience working with newborns as a nanny with excellent verifiable references

Educational Requirements

  • Fluency in English
  • Fluency in Farsi (nice to have)


  • TDaP, TB MMR, flu shot, and COVID vaccinations
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certificate
  • Valid CA driver preferred + must have clean driving record
  • Be available for occasional date night
  • Looking for long term commitment
  • Experience getting baby on a routine
  • Experience with older siblings
  • Comfortable working with stay-at-home parent and overlapping with them
  • Newborn + toddler experience
  • Comfortable going up and down stairs
  • Self-describes as organized, tidy, and kind


  • Wash baby stuff (clothes, bottles, pump, etc.)
  • Help get baby on a routine
  • Prepare simple after school snack for older child
  • Support mom in spending time with the newborn alone. Ideal candidates will be able to keep busy doing other tasks or playing with a toddler once the toddler is home.
  • Anticipate baby’s and mother’s needs (help mom feel taken care of)
  • Child’s laundry
  • Light tidying (organizing children’s rooms, play areas, common areas)
  • Occasional date nights
