A warm and busy family in Cow Hollow, with two working parents, is seeking an experienced, mature, and highly reliable nanny to care for their baby girl, who will be 5 months old in July. Their ideal candidate is nurturing, focused on development, and looking to build a long-term relationship with a family. Responsibilities include researching and scheduling age-appropriate classes, engaging at baby’s level, preparing bottles and baby-friendly meals, child laundry, and light tidying. The best person for them is someone familiar with child-led play and/or the Montessori method, who has longevity with their past employers and is looking for long term commitment again where they can grow with the family.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working with newborns
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working as a nanny with excellent verifiable references
Educational Requirements
- Fluency in English
Qualifications
- COVID-vaccinated
- TB, Flu, and Tdap
- CPR Certified
- Non-smoker
- Valid driver with clean record (family provides household vehicle for work-related driving)
- Experienced with newborns
- Flexible and willing to travel (1-2 times per year; trips could be 7-10 days domestic or international)
- Must be living in SF or nearby
- Longevity with past families (at least 3 years)
- Educational; enjoys seeking out age-appropriate classes
- Familiar with play-based learning (Montessori)
- Mature, loving
- Punctual, reliable
- Excellent communication skills
- Can make long term commitment; looking for someone to grow with the family
Responsibilities
- Creating a routine and schedule for the baby
- Engaging in play (reading, singing, conversing with baby)
- Planning age appropriate activities, classes, and outings
- Driving to activities
- Preparing, washing, sanitizing bottles
- Prepare baby-friendly meals
- Assisting with developmental milestones and transitions (solids, naps, potty training, etc.)
- Child laundry
- Light tidying (nursery, play and common areas)
