Position: Extremely Organized and Personable Family/Household Manager Needed for Busy Family in Atherton
Schedule: Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. + flexibility required to occasionally stay later
Salary Amount or Range: $60-$70/hour ($125,000 – $145,000 per year) D.O.E + PTO, paid holidays and sick days, as well as 401k + PTO, Paid Holidays and sick days, as well as 401k

We are representing a wonderful family of six in Atherton to find a Family/Household Assistant to help keep their home running smoothly. They have four active girls: twins in 1st grade, a 3rd and 5th grader. This role is primarily household-focused but does require driving the children to/from school and activities, overseeing children’s homework, and additional childcare as needed so it’s important that this person enjoy working with kids!
This person will be the main support in ensuring the proper functioning of the family’s personal life. Responsibilities include household organization, running errands, seasonal organization (decorating for the holiday, donating and sorting outgrown clothing, etc.), scheduling and communicating with vendors/contractors, making travel arrangements, keeping the household stocked with groceries and essentials, and more!
The ideal candidate will have prior experience and longevity working as a family/household assistant and is extremely organized with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They would love someone who is friendly, discreet, and a problem-solver. Flexibility is important as sometimes the schedule will change (i.e. staying later or coming in earlier on occasion). Someone with a can-do attitude with a no task is to big or small mentality will be the best fit!
Experience Requirements
- Must have prior longevity 4+ years with a private family w/ excellent verifiable references
- Must have office/admin experience
Educational Requirements
- Fluency in English
- College Graduate: Bachelors Degree

Responsibilities
- Scheduling, communicating with and managing vendors/contractors
- Ensuring kids are doing their homework (kids already have tutors)
- Engage in various support tasks that ensure proper functioning of the family’s personal life
- Help to coordinate functions, events and other activities
- Engage in the completion of school, camp, healthcare, special programming forms if needed
- School pick up and driving to activities
- Occasional childcare as needed
- Run errands for the family
- Keep the home organized and neat (they have a housekeeper)
- Help with seasonal activities i.e.: donating items and sorting outgrown clothes, gifting, decorating for the holidays, etc.
- Assist with administrative duties: scheduling appointments, planning travel arrangements, checking emails, texts
- Assist with groceries and pantry restocking
- Additional administrative tasks
