Salary Amount or Range: $40-$45/hour D.O.E. + Standard benefits (paid vacation, sick days, holidays)

Description

A family in Mountain View is seeking a friendly, proactive Family Assistant to help with household tasks and light childcare. They have a girl (age 1.5), and sweet boy (age 4) who was recently diagnosed with Asperger’s and loves reading, counting, and learning French. Mom is a stay-at-home parent so usually caring for the kids, but needs someone who can help out with childcare as needed. Responsibilities include kid/family laundry, light tidying and organizing, running errands as needed, and light meal prep for the kids.

Their daughter is high-risk immunosuppressed so it’s important to find someone who is comfortable testing for COVID (family will provide) and wearing a mask in the home. Someone who is conscientious, a good communicator, and comfortable working alongside a stay-at-home mom will be the best fit.

Experience Requirements

• 2 years minimum experience working as a private nanny/family assistant with excellent verifiable references

Educational Requirements

• Fluency in English
• Understanding of basic/intermediate French nice to have but not required

Qualifications

• COVID-vaccinated + recent booster (boosted as of Aug. 2024)
• CPR
• TB and Tdap
• Willing to test for COVID (provided by family) and mask in the home
• Works well with stay-at-home parent
• Proactive
• Friendly, personable
• Excellent communicator
• Can make at least a year commitment

Responsibilities

• Assisting with childcare
• Light tidying and organizing (loading/unloading the dishwasher, wiping down surfaces, etc.)
