Position: FT Family Assistant / Cook for Family in the Presidio of San Francisco [FILLED]
Schedule: Sunday – Thursday 11 a.m./Noon – 6:30 p.m./7 p.m. (32.5 – 40 hours guaranteed)
Salary Amount or Range: $50/hour D.O.E. + standard benefits (paid vacation, sick days, holidays) + health stipend

Description

A family in the Presidio of San Francisco is seeking a talented Family Assistant who loves to cook and will help with light childcare in the afternoons. Responsibilities include picking up groceries on the way to work (this time is included in the schedule), meal prepping and cooking for the family, prepare kids’ lunches for the next day, pick up the children from school, engage in activities with the children, help with after-dinner cleanup, etc.

The best person for them is passionate about cooking and has experience preparing simple, healthy meals for families. They’d love to find someone who can help with organizing (picking up kids’ toys, sorting kids’ clothing for donation, organizing the pantry, etc.) and run errands as needed (drop off packages, pick up dry cleaning, etc.). Someone proactive who manages their time well, and is calm, professional, and friendly will be the best fit!

Experience Requirements

• 2 years minimum experience working as a Family Assistant / Cook with excellent verifiable references

Educational Requirements

• Fluency in English

• COVID-vaccinated + booster
• TB and Tdap vaccines
• CPR Certified
• Valid driver with clean record (Family can provide vehicle for work-related use)
• Flexible and proactive
• Loves to cook!
• Experience preparing healthy food
• Remains calm under stress

• Can make a long-term commitment

Responsibilities

• Pick up children from school
• Driving children to activities
• Engaging in play
• Meal planning, grocery shopping
• Meal prep and cooking dinners for the family
• Prepare children’s lunches for the next day
• Organizing the household (pantries, closets, toys, kids’ clothing, donations, etc.)
• Running errands (drop off packages, dry cleaning, etc.)
• Keeping common areas tidy / neat
