Position: FT Nanny w/ Neurodivergent Experience for Child in Marin
Schedule: Monday to Friday 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. (30 hours guaranteed per week + flexibility for occasional late night/weekend help)
Salary Amount or Range: $35-$40/hour D.O.E. + standard benefits (paid vacation, sick days, holidays)

Description
A split-household in Marin is seeking a positive, personable FT Nanny to care for their child. They are neurodivergent and on the autism spectrum, so prior similar experience working with school-age children is required. Responsibilities include driving the child from school to extracurriculars, planning fun activities, engaging in play and supporting their social-emotional development, as well as preparing their meals, laundry, and light tidying.
Their ideal person is an excellent communicator, organized, empathetic, and kind. This role requires a personal vehicle for work-related driving (family will reimburse for mileage) and flexibility to help with occasional evening/weekend care. They’d love to find someone knowledgeable in child development, who is discrete, and seeking a long-term commitment.
Experience Requirements
- 2 years minimum experience working as a nanny with excellent verifiable references
- Prior experience working with school-age neurodivergent children
Educational Requirements
- Fluency in English
Qualifications
- Tb and Tdap vaccine
- COVID-vaccinated
- CPR Certified
- Valid driver with clean record and reliable vehicle for work-related driving (family will reimburse for mileage)
- Flexibility to provide occasional evening/weekend care
- Must have prior experience with neurodivergent children
- Personable, positive
- Excellent communication
- Child development experience preferred
- Can navigate sensitive situations and know when to step in/fade out
Responsibilities
- Provide daily care for child
- Navigate child’s social-emotional needs
- Engage in activities and play
- Plan camps and activities
- Drive to/from school and activities, appointments
- Prepare dinner for the child (simple healthy meals)
- Light tidying pertaining to the child
- Child laundry
- Ordering clothing
- Collaborate with PA on what’s needed for the child, household, etc.
- Occasional evening/weekend care
