Position: Fun, Proactive Nanny / Family Assistant Needed in Saratoga
Schedule: Monday-Friday 11/12 p.m. to 5/6 p.m. (30 hours per week guaranteed)
Salary Amount or Range: $43-$47/hour D.O.E. + Standard benefits (paid vacation, sick days, holidays)
Children: 4, 6 and 10 years old
Pets: They plan to get a dog in the next year so must be ok with pets

A family in Saratoga is seeking a proactive Nanny / Family Assistant to help with childcare and light household tasks. Their children are 4, 6 and 10 years old and attend the same school. Two get picked up at 12:15/12:30p and one at 3p; Wednesdays they are all out of school at 12:15/12:30p. Duties include driving from school to activities, homework help, preparing snacks and dinner for the kids, children’s laundry, organizational tasks, errands, and light tidying.
Their ideal candidate is great at keeping kids on task, fun, engaging, and comfortable holding boundaries. Must be comfortable with pets as they plan to get a dog within the year. Someone reliable and a good communicator will be the best fit!
Experience Requirements
- 2 years minimum experience working as a nanny / family assistant with excellent verifiable references
Educational Requirements
- Fluency in English
- Fluency in Spanish (nice to have)
Qualifications
- TB and Tdap vaccine
- CPR Certified
- Valid driver with clean record and preferably open to using your own vehicle for work-related driving (family will reimburse for mileage and provide car seats)
- Good at keeping kids on task
- Fun and engaging
- Comfortable holding boundaries with kids
- Excellent communication
- Can make at least a year commitment
Responsibilities
- Child transportation from school to afterschool activities
- Homework help
- Evening meal preparation for children (dinner and snacks)
- Children’s laundry
- Organizational tasks
- Grocery shopping
- Light cleaning (they have a biweekly deep cleaner)
- Light pet care as needed (letting dog out into the backyard; filling water bowl)
