Description
We are representing a wonderful Hillsborough family in seeking a warm, organized, and proactive Family Assistant to support their busy household with two working parents and three young children (4.5y, 2.5y and 7 months). This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young kids, helping keep a busy household running smoothly, and partnering closely with the family. The 7 months old has their own nanny so the family assistant role is focused on the two older children.
A typical day: 7am- make kids breakfast, get them ready, pack lunches and drive them to school in the SOMA district of San Francisco. Drive back to clean up and do family laundry.
Leave around 12pm to pick up and take to activities. Back home around 3pm, mom will get home and you will start to prep and cook simple family meal for the family. Help with bedtime routine.
This position is great for someone who wants to grow with a family to be a junior P.A.
Experience Requirements
5 years of experience working in a private home with great references

Educational Requirements
Mandarin speaker strongly preferred
Qualifications
- TB, Tdap vaccine
- CPR Certified
- Experience caring for both infants and toddlers
- Familiarity with child development, routines, and developmental milestones
- A warm, loving, and structured approach to childcare
- Gentle but confident in managing strong-willed preschoolers with loving discipline
- Self-starter with a positive attitude and bias toward action
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Detail oriented
- Clean driving record and comfortable driving children (household care provided)
- Ability to travel with the family
- US Passport or Green Card holder
Responsibilities
- Providing attentive childcare
- Driving children to school, activities and appointments (household car provided)
- Laundry, dishes, decluttering
- Light housekeeping and keeping things tidy and organized
- Preparing healthy meals for the family
- Managing the family calendar
- Scheduling repairs and service
- Planning birthdays, play dates and other activities
- Assist with travel plans
- Running errands
- Helping children with homework
- Household supply shopping
Morning Routine
- Help get children ready for the day
- Prepare breakfast and pack lunches
- Assist with getting children dressed and out the door
- Drive children to preschool
Afternoon & Evening Routine
- Pick children up from preschool
- Drive children to after-school activities
- Help prepare and serve dinner
- Support bath time and bedtime routines when needed
- Laundry for the household
- Prepare healthy family meals
- Light housekeeping to keep kitchen, common areas, playroom, and children’s rooms tidy, stocked, and organized
- Sort and organize children’s clothing as they outgrow items
- Pack children’s suitcases for family travel
- Wash sheet and refresh between guests
- Run occasional errands (groceries, packages, appointments)
Note: Deep cleaning is not required and is handled by housekeepers.
