Schedule: 50 hours per week guaranteed; 5 days per week with 2 consecutive days off (can be Fri/Sat or Sun/Mon); hours are typically 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. -OR- 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. (flexibility is key)
Salary Amount or Range: $30-$35/hour D.O.E. + Standard benefits (paid vacation, sick days, holidays) + health stipend

Description

A family in Atherton is seeking a professional, experienced live-in travel nanny / mother’s helper to stay-at-home parent with almost 2-year-old girl. Responsibilities include working alongside mom to share/split childcare, planning fun activities and driving their daughter to classes, child’s laundry, light housekeeping, light cooking and meal prep for the family, running errands, and light pet care on occasion.

The family is based in Atherton 3 months of the year, and splits the rest of the time between Hawaii and Maui. Flexibility is extremely important as the schedule will change based on the family’s needs. They provide the schedule a month in advance; hours are typically 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. -or- 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. five days per week with two consecutive days off (can be Friday/Saturday or Sunday/Monday).

The best person for them has at least 3 years’ experience working as a full-time nanny, is adaptable, proactive, and genuinely loves helping make the family’s life easier.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 3 years’ experience working as a full-time nanny with excellent verifiable references
• Must have longevity with current/past families

Educational Requirements

• Fluency in English

Qualifications

• COVID-vaccinated (booster not required)

• TB and Tdap

• CPR

• Valid driver with clean record (family can provide household car)

• Comfortable working alongside stay-at-home parent

• Adaptable

• Can easily read the room

• Professional

• Flexible and easygoing

• Can make at least a year commitment

Responsibilities

• Partner with mom in providing childcare (sometimes solo, sometimes alongside her)

• Plan engaging activities

• Drive child to/from classes

• Light cooking and meal prep for the child and family

• General housekeeping (tidying the kitchen, vaccuuming the living room, picking up/organizing child’s items/toys, etc.)

• Running errands

• Occasional pet care
