We are representing a family of four in Los Altos Hills in seeking a professional full time Private Chef. Mom and dad both WFH while the children (6 and 9 years old) are in school. The ideal candidate is an expert in healthy, organic cuisine and thrives in a dynamic environment that requires both routine precision and the flexibility to travel internationally. (1-2 weeks)
Compensation & Perks

Hourly Rate: $75 – $100/hr based on portfolio and experience.

Experience Requirements
2 or more years of experience working in private service with great references. Able to work well alone since kitchen is in separate ADU on property

Reliable transportation for daily sourcing and commuting to Los Altos Hills.

Responsibilities

Meal Service: Prepare and serve daily lunch (12:00 PM – 1:00 PM) and Dinner (6PM) served family style.

Dietary Management: Expertly navigate dietary restrictions, specifically creating diverse and flavorful Vegetarian and Gluten-Free menus for the mom, while preparing meals which include protein for the rest of the family.

Organic Sourcing: Manage all procurement of fresh, high-quality, organic ingredients from local markets and premium purveyors.

Kitchen Operations: Maintain a pristine kitchen, handle all cleanup, inventory management, and pantry stocking.

International Travel: Accompany the family on international trips (1–2 weeks at a time) to locations such as Japan, France, New Zealand, and Australia, adapting to local ingredients and kitchen setups.

Flexibility: While the standard schedule is M-F, the chef must be open to occasional shifts to weekend dinner service as needed.

- Professional Experience: Proven track record as a Private Chef for high-net-worth families

Dietary Expertise: Specialized knowledge in gluten-free and vegetarian cooking, ensuring nutritional balance without sacrificing variety.

Child-Friendly Approach: Ability to create healthy, kid-approved meals that encourage adventurous eating while respecting the preferences of a 6 and 9-year-old.

WFH Professionalism: Ability to work discreetly and efficiently in a home where both principals work from home.
