Position: Loving, Engaging FT Nanny for Family in Hillsborough
Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:45 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.
Salary Amount or Range: $35-$40/hour D.O.E. + standard benefits (paid vacation, sick days, holidays)
Children: 4-month-old baby girl w/ unilateral hearing loss and hearing aid; 2.5 year old boy in preschool FT
Pets: 1 x friendly 70-lb dog

Description

A family in Hillsborough is seeking a loving, engaged nanny for their two children, ages 4 months (girl) and 2.5 years old (boy). The nanny will primarily look after their daughter who has unilateral hearing loss and a hearing aid. Their toddler is in full-time preschool (Monday – Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM) but will be home approximately 10-15 days per year when his school is on holiday. Responsibilities include engaging in age-appropriate activities, preparing bottles and child-friendly meals, driving to activities/classes, children’s laundry, and light tidying. The best person for them is trustworthy, communicative and genuinely loves working with both infants and toddlers.

Experience Requirements

• 2 years minimum experience working as a private nanny with excellent verifiable references

Educational Requirements

• Fluency in English

Qualifications

• COVID vaccinated + booster
• MMR + Flu shot
• TB and Tdap
• CPR
• Safe and valid driver with clean record (family can provide household vehicle for work-related driving)
• Warm, loving
• Open communication
• Mutual trust
• Familiar with introducing solids
• Can make a 2-year commitment

Responsibilities

• Engage in and plan age-appropriate activities
• Ensuring their daughter’s hearing aid is properly placed
• Assist with developmental transitions (naps, solids, etc.)
• Children’s laundry
• Light tidying (children’s rooms, play areas and common areas)
• Washing, sanitizing and preparing bottles
• Preparing meals and snacks for the children
