Position: Loving, Proactive FT Nanny for 5-month-old in San Mateo
Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (40 hours guaranteed; flexibility needed to possibly increase to 45 hours in the future)
Salary Amount or Range: $35-$40/hour D.O.E. + standard benefits (paid vacation, sick days, holidays)

Description

A family in San Mateo is seeking an experienced full-time nanny to take care of their 5-month-old baby boy. They are looking for someone with extensive infant experience to prioritize their son’s wellbeing and proactively engage in promoting his emotional and physical development. Responsibilities include planning age-appropriate activities geared towards baby’s development, preparing bottles, assisting with developmental transitions (solids, nap schedule, etc.), baby laundry and light tidying. Their ideal candidate is cheerful and upbeat, proactively finds ways to enrich baby’s life, and brings ideas and suggestions to work while also respecting parent preferences. Someone who genuinely loves babies who wants to grow with the family will be the best fit!

Experience Requirements

• 2 years minimum experience working as a private nanny with excellent verifiable references

Educational Requirements

• Fluency in English
• Fluency in Farsi or German is nice-to-have but not required

Qualifications

• COVID vaccinated + boosted
• TB and Tdap
• CPR Certified
• Valid driver with clean record (family can provide household vehicle for work-related driving or if using own vehicle they will reimburse for mileage and provide a car seat); family is in walking distance to some activities
• Infant experience
• Educational
• Willingness to travel is nice-to-have but not required
• Is engaged and does not use screens
• Familiarity with Montessori is a nice-to-have
• Brings ideas / suggestions to work while also following parent preferences

Responsibilities
