Description
A family in Marin is seeking a Nanny / Child Development Educator for a long-term partnership supporting their children’s growth from early childhood through school age years for their 4-year-old and expected infant. This role will evolve based on each child’s unique developmental pace and interests. The ideal candidate will create an enriching environment aligned with the family’s values, integrating holistic development across physical, emotional, social, cultural, moral, and spiritual domains.

Experience Requirements
- 5+ years experience in Education, Child Development, or related field with excellent verifiable references
- Minimum of 3 years of private childcare experience
- Well-versed in various educational approaches such as RIE, Montessori, Reggio Emilia, and Waldorf
- Fluency in French
Educational Requirements
- Fluency in English
- Fluency in French
Qualifications
- COVID-vaccinated + booster
- TB and Tdap
- CPR and First Aid Certified
- Valid driver with clean record (family provides a vehicle for work-related driving)
- Infant care experience
- Understanding of multiple educational approaches
- French language proficiency
- Background in mindfulness practices
- Musical abilities
- Ability to bend, stoop, twist, kneel, sit, walk, stand, reach above head, move up and down
- Necessary traits for this position are seeing, hearing, talking, reading, and writing
- Willingness to work alongside parents who work remotely from the home
- Overnight travel is required

Educational Leadership
- Design curriculum integrating multiple learning approaches
- Create experiential learning opportunities in:
- Life sciences and nature exploration
- Physical movement and coordination

- Culture, arts, music
- Emotional and spiritual development
- Research and recommend schools aligned with family values
- Support school application processes
- Source and coordinate with specialists (coaches, tutors, teachers)
- Adapt curriculum based on child’s interests and development
- Integrate mindfulness practices
- Guide age-appropriate independence
- Encourage curiosity and self-directed learning
Daily Care and Responsibilities
- Provide childcare for the 4-year-old when not in school
- Assist with infant care as needed to support parents
- Collaborate with Mom to manage schedules and activities
- Support growing independence
- Prepare healthy meals and snacks following family nutrition guidelines
- Maintain safe, organized environments
- Transport children to activities and appointments
