Description

An active, older couple residing in Woodside is seeking a dedicated, versatile, and highly organized Houseman / Handyman / Driver to assist with the daily operations and maintenance of their estate. This is a “full charge” role, meaning you will take primary ownership of the home’s cleanliness, and logistical needs.

The ideal candidate is someone proactive and comfortable working in a quiet, private environment.

Experience Requirements

2 or more years of experience working in a private home with verifiable references

Educational Requirements

Fluency in English

Qualifications

• Experience: Previous experience in a private household

• Driving Record: Must have a valid California Driver’s License and a clean driving record.

• Skills: Strong “handyman” skills; ability to troubleshoot household issues before calling a contractor.

• Discretion: High level of professionalism and respect for privacy and confidentiality.

• Physical Ability: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and navigate a large property

• Communication: Fluent in English; responsive via text and email.

Responsibilities

1. Housekeeping & Maintenance (Full Charge)

• Perform deep and daily cleaning of the residence to high standards.

• Manage laundry, including delicate fabrics and linens. Many items go to the dry cleaners

• Identify and perform minor household repairs

• Coordinate with and oversee specialized vendors (landscapers, pool service, HVAC).

2. Driving & Transportation

• Provide safe and reliable transportation for the principals to appointments, social engagements, and airports.

• Maintain the provided household vehicle (detailing, fuel, service appointments).

3. Estate Care & Security (During Travel)

• Conduct house checks when the couple is traveling.

• Manage mail, deliveries, and packages.

• Ensure all systems are operational and the property remains pristine in their absence.

4. Errands & Logistics

• Grocery shopping and household stocking.

• Running various errands (dry cleaning, pharmacy, hardware store).
