Position: Organized Afternoon Family Assistant Needed PT in Marina

Salary Amount or Range: $40-$45/hour D.O.E. + Standard benefits (paid vacation, sick days, holidays)
Children: 10, 11 and 12 years old
Pets: 1 friendly cocker spaniel and 1 independent cat who mainly keeps to the top floor

Description
A super sweet, loving family in the Marina/Cow Hollow is seeking a second family assistant to collaborate with their lead nanny in caring for the kids (ages 10, 11 and 12 years old) and household. This person will support the existing household rhythm with driving the children, light organizing and tidying, laundry, errands, or other logistical help. The goal is to create a team-based approach that maintains emotional continuity for the kids while offering more flexibility and coverage for the family as a whole.
Schedule: TBD depending on candidate’s need but something like Monday to Friday 1/1:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. with 20-25 hours per week guaranteed, plus the flexibility to pick up more hours each month during school breaks, for date nights, and/or coverage for when lead nanny is out or when parents are traveling.
Experience Requirements
- 2 years minimum experience working as a Family Assistant with excellent verifiable references
Educational Requirements
- Fluency in English
Qualifications
• COVID-vaccinated + current on booster ideally
• TB and Tdap
• CPR Certified
• Valid driver with clean record (family can provide household car for work-related driving)

• Flexibility to provide coverage for school breaks, additional evenings, date nights, or coverage for the other nanny or if parents are traveling

Responsibilities
- Errand running
- Dividing school pick up with mom/lead nanny and taking children to/from activities
- Ordering groceries from instacart or at the store
- Supporting lead nanny with meal prep; preparing simple meals for the family as needed (such as when lead nanny is out – parents can provide easy recipes)
- Organizing toys, drawers, going through kids’ clothes, etc.
- Organizing pantries and cabinets – keeping household stocked
- Dishes after dinner
- Light tidying
- Pet care for small dog
- Providing back-up/coverage when needed
- Family laundry
