Position: Organized and Energetic PT Family Assistant Needed in Orinda
Schedule: Monday to Friday 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. (25 hours per week); family would also consider Tues-Thurs (same hours)
Salary Amount or Range: $40-$45/hour D.O.E. + Standard benefits (paid vacation, sick days, holidays)
Children: 3 and 5 years old
Pets: 1 x French bulldog

Description
A family in Orinda is seeking a family assistant to care for their two children (ages 3 and 5 years old) and assist with household tasks. Their youngest is in preschool until 2 p.m. (except Monday he is at home all day) and their eldest is in Kindergarten. Their children are adventurous, energetic, and love new people. The best match for their kids is someone playful and engaging who can easily keep up with two little ones!
Responsibilities include driving the children from school to activities, planning outings, running errands, preparing simple dinners for the family, children’s laundry, and light tidying. Their ideal person has a reliable vehicle for work-related driving (family will reimburse for mileage), is organized, and genuinely loves working with children!
Experience Requirements
- 2 years minimum experience working as a family assistant with excellent verifiable references
Educational Requirements
- Fluency in English
- Educational experience (nice to have)
Qualifications
- COVID-vaccinated + current on the booster
- TB and Tdap
- CPR Certified
- Valid driver with clean record and reliable vehicle for work-related driving (family will reimburse for mileage)
- Comfortable with parents working from home
- Energetic, playful and engaging
- Prioritizes safety of the kids
- Can easily keep up with two active young kids
- Organized
- Educational experience is nice-to-have
- Excellent communication skills
- Can make at least a year commitment
