Schedule: Monday to Friday 11/12 p.m. – 7/8 p.m. (40 hours/week guaranteed)
Salary Amount or Range: $45-$48/hour D.O.E. + Standard benefits (paid vacation, sick days, holidays)

A family in Lafayette is seeking an experienced, organized Family Assistant to help with houshold tasks and provide childcare in the afternoons. Their children are 9 (girl), 11 (girl), and 13 (boy) years old. They are well behaved kids are involved in a variety of extracurriculars including competitve sports. Responsibilities include preparing kids’ breakfast and lunch for the next day as well as healthy balanced dinners for the family, driving the children from school to activities, tidying the home, running errands, family laundry, and coordinating with household vendors.

Their ideal candidate loves cooking, is highly organized, enjoys decluttering, and is a safe driver with a clean record. Someone warm and engaging who is experienced with school-age children and genuinely enjoys engaging with older kids will be the best fit. This is a great opportunity for a candidate looking for longevity as they will need help for the next few years.

Experience Requirements

• 2 years minimum experience working as a Family Assistant with excellent verifiable references

Educational Requirements

• Fluency in English

Qualifications

• Current TB, Tdap and flu vaccines
• CPR Certified
• Valid, safe driver with clean record (family can provide household vehicle for work-related driving)
• Highly organized and enjoys decluttering
• Loves to cook healthy meals and can accommodate dietary needs
• Proactive
• Warm, kind, and loving
• Excellent communication skills
• Seeking longevity

Responsibilities

• Preparing kids’ breakfast and lunches for the next day
• Preparing simple healthy meals for the family; accomodating to dietary needs
• Driving children to/from school and activities
• Light tidying
• Organizing and decluttering closets, pantry, etc.
• Family laundry
• Running errands (grocery shopping, making returns, dropping off/picking up dry cleaning, etc.)
• Coordinating with the gardener and other household vendors
