Position: Organized & Proactive Family Assistant Needed in Presidio Terrace (late March) FILLED
Schedule: Monday to Friday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. (40 hours guaranteed; flexibility preferred)
Salary Amount or Range: $38-$40/hour D.O.E. + Standard benefits (paid vacation, sick days, holidays)
Children: 10 year old twins
Pets: 2 dogs (Multipoo + Chihuahua mix)

Start date: late March
A busy family in the Presidio is seeking a full-time Family Assistant to help with both childcare and household tasks. Their twin daughters are 10-years-old and involved in various school after-school activities (swimming, gymnastics, piano). They are both sweet, silly, love to read and are fairly independent. They would love to find someone playful and engaging, who is very organized with attention to detail. Responsibilities include driving the girls from school to activities, preparing dinner and doing laundry for the children, light tidying, household organization and assisting with home projects, running errands, and some pet care (feeding the dogs and house sitting/pet sitting when the family is traveling).
Additionally, they need someone flexible who can travel with them to Sonoma for 5 weeks in the summer (end of June through July). They have a guest house available and the candidate can stay the entirety of the trip or go home on the weekends. They also will need the FA to house sit/pet sit when they travel (typically 6-8 weeks per year).
The best person for them is proactive, reliable, responsible and looking for a long term commitment as they hope to employ this person for several years.
Experience Requirements
- 2 years minimum experience working as a private Family Assistant with excellent verifiable references
Educational Requirements
- Fluency in English
- Fluency in Spanish (nice-to-have but not required)

Responsibilities
- 50-50 childcare/household
- Pick up from school
- Drive to activities (gymnastics, swimming, piano)
- Preparing dinner for the children
- Organizing the house (pantry, closets, etc.)
- Assist with home projects (going through items, donating, etc.)
- Errands (packages, prescriptions, etc.)
- Grocery shopping
- Help with birthday parties (finding caterers, communicate with vendors)
- Family laundry
- Light tidying (kitchen, common areas, etc.)
- Feeding the dogs
- Pet sitting (walking, feeding) / house sitting when family is traveling (typically 6-8 weeks per year)
