Position Overview
We are representing a family in seeking an experienced, proactive, and highly versatile House Manager / Housekeeper to oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of a 6-bed, 7-bath single-story estate in Palo Alto. This hybrid role requires someone with a hands-on approach to home maintenance and housekeeping, combined with the administrative, vendor management, and organizational skills of an House Manager.
The ideal candidate has prior experience working with Ultra-High-Net-Worth (UHNW) families or private estates, maintains high standards of discretion, and is comfortable wearing multiple hats: from routine cleaning and organic meal prep to managing home improvement projects and sourcing farm-fresh ingredients.
Key Responsibilities
1. Estate & Facilities Management

Source, hire, schedule, and supervise third-party contractors and service providers (plumbers, electricians, handymen, pest control, internet/AV technicians, etc.).

Perform routine light home maintenance and oversee larger estate enhancement projects (e.g., skylight/window installation projects, setting up a vegetable garden, home furnishing).

Act as a courteous point of contact for neighbors and local municipal services when needed.
2. Housekeeping & Estate Care

Maintain full charge housekeeping throughout the 6-bedroom, 7-bathroom single-story home.

Care for delicate materials, including marble, fine hardwoods, and specialty finishes, using appropriate non-toxic cleaning techniques.

Handle routine personal laundry and low ironing with care.
3. Sourcing, Meal Prep & Household Logistics

Research and establish relationships with local farms and high-quality suppliers to source fresh produce and top-tier ingredients.

Prepare wholesome, basic daily meals

Ensure all household cleaning products, home supplies, and personal care items used across the estate strictly adhere to non-toxic, all-organic standards.

Handle household errands, grocery shopping, package intake, and supply inventory management.
Experience Requirements
3 or more years working in a high net worth household with great references
Educational Requirements
Fluency in English
Qualifications

UHNW Experience: Previous experience working within high-net-worth households or private estates.

Discretion & Trustworthiness: Absolute integrity, professionalism, and strict adherence to confidentiality/privacy.

Hands-On Skills: Demonstrated capability in light household repair/maintenance and project oversight.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for managing vendors and interacting with neighbors.

Flexibility: Willingness to assist with occasional weekend needs or schedule adjustments.
