Position: Proactive Nanny/Family Assistant for 1-year-old in the Inner Richmond (30 hours/week)
Schedule: Monday to Friday 8 a.m.-2 p.m. (some flexibility on start/end time depending on candidate’s preference)
Salary Amount or Range: $45-$50/hour D.O.E. + Standard benefits (paid vacation, sick days, holidays)
Children: 1 and 4 years old
Pets: 1 x large friendly german shephard (usually out with their dog walker)
Bay Area Region: San Francisco

Description

A family in the Inner Richmond is seeking a friendly, proactive nanny / family assistant to help with childcare and light household support. Their children are 1 and 4 years old, but their eldest is in daycare so care is primarily for their youngest. Responsibilities inlcude engaging with their 1-year-old, attending outdoor classes (in walking distance to the house), preparing the kids’ breakfast and lunch, light tidying and organization, and family laundry.

Candidates should be comfortable with parents at home (one stay-at-home parent, the other works remotely); even though they are around they need someone autonomous who doesn’t need a lot of direction. Their ideal candidate takes initiative and will help keep their home running smoothly.

Experience Requirements

• 2 years minimum experience working as a nanny/family assistant with excellent verifiable references

Educational Requirements

• Fluency in English

Qualifications

• COVID-vaccinated + current on the annual booster

• TB, Tdap and flu

• CPR Certified

• Proactive and can take initiative; notices when something needs to be done

• Comfortable with parents at home (one stay-at-home parent, the other works remotely); even though they are around they need someone autonomous who doesn’t need a lot of direction

• Excellent communication

• Kind, engaging, friendly

• Can make at least a year commitment, ideally longer

Responsibilities

• Childcare/household support

• Helping the home stay organized and running smoothly

• Caring for youngest, taking him to outdoor classes nearby (in walking distance)

• Preparing breakfast and lunch for the kids

• Light tidying: taking out trash, loading/emptying the dishwasher, organizing toys and common spaces, etc.

• Family laundry
