Description
A family in the East Bay is looking for a full-time housekeeper to join their team.
This position supports the existing lead full-time housekeeper with high-level cleaning and laundry skills. This is a live out position and must have own vehicle.
Children and animals are part of the home environment. Must be comfortable with both.
Full-time support is needed as follows:
Monday- 10-6
Tuesday 10-6 Wednesday OFF Thursday OFF Friday 10-6
Saturday 10-6
Sunday 10-6
This is an opportunity to join a small, dynamic team supporting a family of five. The role requires a strong background of high-level housekeeping and excellent laundry skills. The daily duties range from cleaning home interior surfaces, making beds, cleaning of exterior entertaining spaces, laundry, home organizing, on occasion dinner food prep in absence of Nanny, feeding and cleaning up after pets.
The Full-time housekeeper is responsible for assisting with the overall upkeep of the primary home with two additional structures, and possibly assisting with cleaning of a nearby secondary home in the absence of the lead Full-time housekeeper.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and ensure the daily housekeeping operations, including cleaning, organizing, laundry, ironing, and pet care Must have a keen eye for detail.
- Must be self-directed, and motivated to maintain a pristine and well-functioning
- Assist with managing household supplies, cleaning products, and laundry products to ensure inventory is adequately stocked.
- Open, strong communication skills, comfortable working with other team members, and being in an environment with children, cats, dogs, and chickens.

- Ensure all interior rooms are exceptionally clean, while paying attention to deep clean and seasonal cleaning needs.
- Property consists of separate structures that have limited access during different times and days; coordination of multi-tasking within these limitations is key
- Responsible for maintaining cleanliness of outdoor furniture, and coverage of furniture, if necessary, for forecasted rainy weather.
- Full-time housekeeper works in tandem and takes direction from lead Full-time housekeeper, and reports to the Estate Manager.

- Uses discretion and maintains strict confidentiality regarding all matters related to family and guests.

Qualifications and Skills:
- Five years (5+) of housekeeping in a private residence with a proven track
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, must speak fluent
- Ability to change priorities and adapt without jeopardizing high-level of
- Must be comfortable and proactive in organizing closets, drawers, shelves, and paying close attention to items that may be out of place.
