Position: PT Evening / Weekend Nanny Needed in Presidio Heights
Schedule: 15-20 hours/week split between some weekday evenings (i.e. 5-8pm) and weekends (i.e. 8-1pm PT)*
Salary Amount or Range: $45-$48/hour D.O.E. + Standard benefits (paid vacation, sick days, holidays)
Children: 2-year-old boy and baby due May
Pets: 1 x 5-year-old mini Bernedoodle, non-shedding, loves to cuddle

Description

A family in Presidio Heights is seeking additional part-time nanny support for their growing family. They have an energetic 2-year-old boy and are expecting baby #2 in May. Responsibilities will include general childcare responsibilities such as children’s laundry, keeping play areas neat and children’s bedrooms and common spaces tidy and clean, preparing and washing bottles and pump parts, preparing toddler’s meals and snacks, planning activities and/or accompanying to play-dates, and helping with baths, naps, and bedtime routines.

The ideal candidate is warm, friendly, flexible, and proactive but also happy to be part of a team, committed to transparent and open communication with the family, and overall be a positive and encouraging part of the child’s and family’s lives. The best person for them is someone who is comfortable with both infants and toddlers, supportive of parent-child time together, and provides a safe, nurturing environment for their children.

*The family is open to just weekends if candidate is not available weeknights.

Experience Requirements

• 2 years minimum experience working as a nanny with excellent verifiable references

Educational Requirements

• Fluency in English

Qualifications

• COVID-vaccinated including recent booster
• Flu, Tb and Tdap vaccines
• CPR Certified
• Valid driver with clean record
• Must be ok with dogs
• Direct and excellent communication skills
• Willingness to occasionally do overnights
• Active and energetic
• Loving, kind, genuine
• Motivated and professional in conduct
• Positive discipline skills
• Self-starter / takes initiative
• Discrete / respects family’s confidentiality
• Can make a long-term commitment; at minimum a year

Responsibilities

• Engaging in age appropriate activities and play
• Prepare healthy meals and snacks for toddler
• Preparing and washing bottles and pump parts
• Light tidying that is child focused (i.e. children’s laundry, cleaning up after children’s meals, tidying up kids’ play areas and common spaces)
• Children’s laundry
• Occasionally feeding or letting out the dog
