Position: PT Family Assistant Needed in Palo Alto [FILLED]
Schedule: Monday to Friday 12 p.m. / 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. (20 – 25 hours guaranteed depending on candidate’s preference) + occasional weekends
Salary Amount or Range: $40-$45/hour D.O.E. + Standard benefits (paid vacation, sick days, holidays)

Description

A single parent with two girls, ages 8 and 11 years old, is seeking a Family Assistant to help with childcare and household tasks. The children are with him every other week. Responsibilities include picking up the kids from school, light tidying, family laundry, cooking for the family, and running errands. On the weeks that the girls are not with him the hours may be lighter but guaranteed.

Ultimately he is looking for someone engaging and experienced, who can take iniative and help keep their household running smoothly!

Experience Requirements

• 2 years minimum experience working as a Family Assistant with verifiable references

Educational Requirements

• Fluency in English
• Fluency in French (nice to have)

Qualifications

• COVID-vaccinated + boosted
• CPR Certified
• Valid driver with clean record and reliable vehicle for work-related use (family will reimburse for mileage)
• Crafty / artsy
• Experienced with school-age children
• Reliable
• Flexible / open to occasional weekends
• Excellent communication
• Can make a long-term commitment (at least a year)

Responsibilities

• School pickup
• Light tidying (loading/unloading the dishwasher, wiping down counters, organizing, etc.)
• Laundry for the family
• Prepare weekday meals for the family
• Run errands
• Drive kids to activities / lessons
• House sit when the family is away
