Position: PT Family Assistant Needed in Palo Alto
Schedule: Monday to Friday 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. + 6 hours on Saturday or Sunday approx 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (some flexibility)
Salary Amount or Range: $40-$45/hour D.O.E. + Standard benefits (paid vacation, sick days, holidays)

Description
A family in Palo Alto is seeking an experienced, proactive Family Assistant to help with childcare and household tasks. Their son is 2.5 years old and in daycare until 6 p.m. Responsibilities include picking him up from school, engaging with him, planning activities for him, grocery shopping and meal prep for the family, fmaily laundry, and light tidying. Their ideal person is caring, intuitive, and and genuinely loves supporting the home.
The schedule is Monday to Friday 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. They can offer an additional 6 hours on Saturday or Sunday (flexible on the time as long as there is coverage mid-day).
Experience Requirements
- 2 years minimum experience working as a Family Assistant with excellent verifiable references
Educational Requirements
- Fluency in English
Qualifications
- CPR Certified
- TB and tdap
- COVID-vaccinated + booster
- Valid driver with clean record and reliable vehicle for work-related driving (family will reimburse for gas)
- Enjoys organizing and tidying
- Genuinely enjoys working with children
- Experienced with toddlers
- Can make at least a year commitment
Responsibilities
- Grocery shopping
- Meal prep (preparing grains/starches, chopping, etc.)
- Laundry
- Light housekeeping tasks
- Childcare as needed on the weekdays with more focus on their son on the weekend
- Pick up from daycare (10 min walk)
