Schedule: 3:30/4 p.m. to 7:30/8 p.m. Option A: Sunday to Thursday / Option B: Monday to Friday
Salary Amount or Range: $40-$45/hour D.O.E. + Standard benefits (paid vacation, sick days, holidays)

Pets: 65-lb Bernadoodle

Start: early September

A family in San Carlos is seeking an energetic, enthusiastic Family Assistant to primarily help with household tasks and some childcare as needed (they have a 17-month-old). Responsibilities include running errands, family laundry, light cleaning, meal prep and simple cooking, as well as pet care for their 65-lb (very friendly!) Bernadoodle.

Their preferred schedule is Sunday to Thursday 4p-8p but are also open to Monday-Friday. Ultimately the best person for them is flexible with a can-do attitude!

Experience Requirements

• 2 years minimum experience working as a Family/Household Assistant with excellent verifiable references

Educational Requirements

• Fluency in English

Qualifications

• CPR Certified
• TB, Tdap, flu and MMR
• COVID vaccination
• Valid driver with clean record and reliable vehicle for work-related use (family will reimburse for gas)
• Experience with toddlers
• Flexible and happy to help out where needed
• Tech savvy (experience with Google docs, Amazon returns, etc.)
• Energetic
• Enthusiastic
• Excellent communication
• Can make a long-term commitment

Responsibilities

• Some childcare as needed
• Family laundry
• Errands (e.g., picking up groceries, dry cleaning, other household goods, Amazon returns)
• Pet care (dog is a 65lb bernedoodle. Very friendly!) – walking, feeding, taking to vet appts
• Light tidying
• Cleaning dishes
• Houehold organization
• Meal prep
• Cooking a few evenings per week for the family (simple protein, starch, veg)
  • Their son has some sensitivity to shellfish, egg and flax seeds
