Position: PT or FT Family Assistant Needed in Mill Valley
Schedule: 25-40 hours per week depending on candidate’s preference; Core hours needed are Mondays and Tuesdays from 6:30/7 a.m. to 9 a.m. + 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Wednesdays 7 a.m. to 9 a.m.
Salary Amount or Range: $40-$45/hour D.O.E. + Standard benefits (paid vacation, sick days, holidays)

Description
A dad in Mill Valley is seeking a family assistant to help with household tasks and care for his three girls, ages 5, 8 and 10 years old. Responsibilities include providing nurturing and developmentally appropriate care, preparing kids’ breakfast and lunches as well as simple dinners for the family, handle school drop-offs/pick-ups. planning engaging after-school activities, family laundry and light tidying.
The family can provide PT or FT hours. At minimum the core hours needed are:
- Mondays and Tuesdays from 6:30/7 a.m. to 9 a.m. + 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- Wednesdays 7 a.m. to 9 a.m.
For more full-time hours, the position will include more household-oriented tasks such as family laundry, running errands, organizing, etc. Occasional weekend help is also appreciated.
The best person for the is warm, engaging, and can make at least a year commitment.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working as a nanny/family assistant with excellent verifiable references
Educational Requirements
- Fluency in English
Qualifications
- COVID-vaccinated and preferably boosted
- TB and Tdap
- CPR Certified
- Valid driver with clean record with reliable vehicle for work-related driving (family will reimburse for mileage)
- Warm, engaging
- Proactive
- Excellent communication
- Can make at least a year commitment
