Position: Punctual and Poised FT Nanny/Family Assistant Needed in Pac Heights
Schedule: Monday to Friday 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (40 hours per week guaranteed; flexibility needed to occasionally stay later)
Salary Amount or Range: $40-$43/hour D.O.E. + Standard benefits (paid vacation, sick days, holidays)
Children: 3 year old girl
Pets: 1 cat and 1 dog

Description
A family in Pac Heights is seeking a punctual, polished Nanny/Family Assistant to help with childcare and light household tasks. Their daughter will be 3 years old at the end of June and is in preschool from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Responsibilities include assisting with her morning routine, driving her to school and after-school activities and playdates, and assisting mom with light household tasks during the day (light tidying, errands, cooking and laundry for their daughter, as well as meeting vendors). During school breaks and closures this person will focus on childcare only.
The best person for them is reliable, has a “no task too small” mentality, and wants to grow with their family as they anticipate having a second child. Someone who genuinely loves working with children and is happy to focus on childcare is ideal!
Experience Requirements
- 2 years minimum experience working as a private nanny with excellent verifiable references
Educational Requirements
- Fluency in English
Qualifications
- COVID-vaccinated; ideally boosted
- CPR Certified
- Flu, TB and Tdap up-to-date
- Valid driver with clean record and reliable vehicle for work-related driving (family will reimburse for mileage)
- Comfortable with childcare for young children (1 year+)
- Comfortable cooking for children
- Punctual
- Willingness to occasionally travel is appreciated
- Poised enough to act as front of house and can supervise vendors
- Comfortable with pet care (family has a cat and dog)
- Excellent communication
- Can make a long-term commitment / grow with the family
Responsibilities
- Drive to school, activities (swimming, soccer, etc.) and playdates
- Assist with daily routines such as getting ready for school, bath time, etc.
- Engaging in play (reading, outings, imaginative play, etc.)
- Prepare kid-friendly meals and snacks
- Child’s laundry
- Prep child’s backpack, pack snacks and meals
- Light tidying and organizing
- Pet care: walk the dog daily; feed cat and dog as needed
