Position: Reliable Engaging FT Nanny for Toddler + Infant in Noe Valley
Schedule: Sunday to Tuesday 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. (36 hours per week guaranteed)
Salary Amount or Range: $38-$40/hour D.O.E. with OT ($82,000-$91,000/year) + standard benefits (6 days paid vacation, 5 paid sick days, federal holidays)
Children: 2-year-old girl + infant (arrived October 2024)
Pets: 3 Sheepadoodles

Description

A family in Noe Valley is seeking a fun-loving, engaging nanny for their two girls; 2 years old and an infant. The nanny will have autonomous care over both children once their baby is about 3 months old. Responsibilities include taking the children to parks/playgrounds and classes (all within walking distance!), planning and engaging in developmental activities, children’s laundry, light tidying, and heating meals/preparing snacks. have extensive long-term experience working with infants and toddlers.

Their ideal candidate will have extensive long-term experience working with infants and toddlers, has the flexibility to travel with them once per quarter (trips are domestic or international and usually 7-10 days long), and is extremely reliable. They have 3 large Sheepadoodles so this person must love dogs too!

Ultimately they are looking for someone who will be with their family for years to come (at least 5 years, ideally longer)!

Candidates must have a reliable vehicle (family will reimburse for gas), have long-term recent experience caring for infants and toddlers, and be comfortable working with parents at home.

Experience Requirements

2 years minimum experience working as a private nanny with excellent verifiable references

Educational Requirements

Fluency in English
Educational background is nice to have but not required

Qualifications

Local candidates only
COVID + yearly booster required
Yearly Flu vaccine
TB and Tdap vaccine
CPR Certified
Valid driver with clean record with reliable vehicle for work-related driving (family will reimburse for mileage)
Must be comfortable with/love dogs
Fun-loving
Engaging with children
Extensive long-term experience working with infants and toddlers
Strong communication skills
Reliability extremely important
Flexibility to travel once per quarter both domestic and international (usually 7-10 days per trip)
Can make a long-term commitment (ideally at least 5 years+)

Responsibilities

Nanny will be autonomous in providing care for both children once their newborn is 3 months+
Planning engaging and age-appropriate activities/outings
Taking the children to weekly classes
Children’s laundry
Heating up children’s meals and preparing snacks
Light tidying related to the children
Occasional care for their 3 dogs (letting in/out of the backyard, feeding)
