Position: Reliable, Engaging Weekend Nanny for Family in Menlo Park/SF (Sept. 2024) – ON HOLD
Schedule: Saturdays 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Salary Amount or Range: $35-$40/hour D.O.E. + standard benefits (paid vacation, sick days, holidays)

A family in Menlo Park (moving to the Presidio or Pac Heights neighborhood of SF between December 2024-March 2025) is seeking a reliable, engaging Weekend Nanny to care for their two daughters, ages 1.5 years old and a newborn who arrived in May. Responsibilities include planning fun activities and outings, working on child development and milestones, children’s laundry, light tidying, and preparing bottles/kids’ meals.

Most important to the family is reliability – both parents work demanding full-time jobs and they need someone they can depend on to show up consistently and be on time. Ultimately the best person for them is active, enjoys outdoor play and engaging with kids, and is bubbly! This is a great position for someone who is looking for a long-term fit as they hope to keep this person for at least a few years.

Experience Requirements

• 2 years minimum experience working as a private Nanny with excellent verifiable references

Educational Requirements

• Fluency in English

• Fluency in Spanish (nice to have but not required)

Qualifications

• CPR Certified

• Current TB and Tdap

• COVID vaccinated (booster preferred but not required)

• Valid driver with clean record

• Track record of being on time and consistent

• Punctual and dependable; consistently shows up and is on time

• Genuinely loves working with children

• Engaging

• Active and likes being outdoors

• Likes to stay busy with the kids

• Excellent communication

• Seeking a long-term commitment

Responsibilities

• Engaging with girls in fun, age-appropriate activities and outings

• Reading, singing, arts and crafts, etc.

• Preparing, washing, sanitizing bottles

• Prepare child-friendly meals and snacks

• Children’s laundry as needed

• Light tidying (nurseries, common areas, play areas, kitchen after meals)
