Position: Reliable, Organized PT Family Assistant Needed in Presidio
Schedule: Monday to Friday 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. (25 hours/week guaranteed) + flexibility for occasional date nights/weekends
Salary Amount or Range: $50-$55/hour D.O.E. + Standard benefits (paid vacation, sick days, holidays)
Children: 12 year old twins

Start date: end of August / early September

A busy family in the Presidio is seeking a part-time Family Assistant to help with light childcare and household tasks. Their twin daughters are 12-years-old and involved in various school after-school activities (swimming, gymnastics, piano). They are both sweet, silly, love to read and are fairly independent. They would love to find someone who is engaging, organized, and detail oriented. Responsibilities include driving the girls from school to activities, preparing dinner for the girls, light tidying and household organization, running errands, and some pet care (feeding the dog and house sitting/pet sitting when the family is traveling). Flexibility needed to work occasional date nights/weekends.

The best person for them is proactive, reliable, responsible and looking for a long term commitment as they hope to employ this person for at least 1-2 years.

Experience Requirements

• 2 years minimum experience as a Family Assistant with excellent verifiable references

Educational Requirements

• Fluency in English

• Valid driver with clean record (family provides a household vehicle for work-related driving)
• Flexibility/willingness to travel to wine country during the summer (nice to have, not required)

Responsibilities

• Pick up from school
• Drive to activities (gymnastics, swimming, piano)
• Preparing dinner for the children / feeding on the go
• Errands (grocery shopping, packages, prescriptions, etc.)
• Help with laundry as needed
• Light tidying and organizing (kitchen, common areas, etc.)
• Feeding the dog
• Pet sitting (walking, feeding) / house sitting when family is traveling
• Occasional date nights/weekends
