Position: Responsible Proactive Family Assistant Needed Full-Time in Noe Valley
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Salary Amount or Range: $40-$45/hour D.O.E. + Standard benefits (paid vacation, sick days, holidays)

Description
A family in Noe Valley is seeking a responsible, caring, and proactive family assistant to manage household tasks and care for their two children—a 5-year-old boy and a 2.5-year-old girl. Responsibilities include driving the children to/from school, cooking for the children, family laundry and ironing, household organization, and light tidying. Their ideal candidate is a safe driver with a clean record and prior experience driving children; someone who is playful, positive, and enjoys preparing healthy balanced meals for the kids.
The family prefers someone willing and flexible to travel as they typically take a 2-week trip during the summer and shorter trips occasionally throughout the year.
Above all they are looking for someone organized with an excellent work ethic who will become a trusted part of their family and enjoys working with young children and helping to keep the household running smoothly!
Experience Requirements
- 2 years minimum experience working as a Family Assistant with excellent verifiable references
Educational Requirements
- Fluency in English
- Fluency in Spanish (nice to have)
Qualifications
- All vaccines up to date including COVID-vaccinated and boosted, TB, Tdap
- CPR Certified
- Non-smoker
- A valid driver’s license and must have a clean driving record (family can provide household vehicle for work-related driving)
- Flexibility and willingness to travel (2 weeks in the summer, and shorter trips occasionally throughout the year)
- Experience driving children
- Reliable, organized, and proactive in managing household tasks
- Playful, fun, and engaging
- Attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Proactive
- Can make a long term commitment (at least a year, ideally longer)
Responsibilities
- Planning and engaging the children in age-appropriate activities, including reading, arts and crafts, outdoor play, and educational playtime
- Drive our children to and from school (they’ll provide a car for the family assistant to use)
- Prepare and serve nutritious dinners and snacks for the children
- Keep the children’s rooms tidy and change their sheets weekly
- Keep the kitchen clean and organized, including unpacking groceries, tidying the pantry, sweeping, cleaning and cutting fruit for the kids, organizing the fridge weekly
- Feeding the dog (a cute Corgi!)
- Run errands such as picking up dry cleaning and getting the car washed weekly
- Do the family’s laundry, including ironing
- Care for both children on sick days and during school vacations
